  • The training that will upskill your employees when it comes to supporting a new service or product that the organisation will offer.
  1. When is the best time of year for training?

Each company will have different times that will be busier than others. For example, nurses and hospital staff will be busier in winter, so spring may be a better time for training. Secondly, training may be more relevant at certain times of year than others. For example, frontline workers may benefit from PMVA training before a busy Christmas and New Year season when they may expect a lot more confrontation from the public, such as those under the influence of drink and drugs.

If you plan a recruitment drive, then it is wise to book your training after your new employees are settled in. This will prevent you from having to book the same training at different points in the year. That said, having a mop-up session in the diary is always useful in case some staff are away during your first round of training.
